Plains State Bank has recently acquired Core+ Financial Strategies, an independent wealth management and financial services company based in Houston, TX with approximately $317 million in client assets. The acquired company will be a division of Plains State bank and continue to do business as Core + Financial Strategies.

We have selected Raymond James, a multinational independent investment bank and financial services company, as the broker/dealer for our new wealth management and financial services. Raymond James was selected based on their significant portfolio of capabilities and service offerings, which will be available to our customers and clients. Raymond James was founded in 1962, is headquartered in St. Petersburg, FL, and has been publicly traded since 1983. They currently have approximately $1.2 trillion in client assets under management.

Additionally, Plains Financial Services Inc. has acquired Core+ Tax Strategies, a tax planning/preparation business that will continue to do business as Core+ Tax Strategies.
