Terms and Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By using this service or permitting any other person to use this service on your behalf, you acknowledge that you have read these terms and conditions and that you accept and will be bound by the terms thereof, as they may be modified by us from time to time, as posted on this website. When such a modification is made, we will post a revised version of these terms and conditions on this website. Changes will be effective when posted. We are not required to provide you with notification that any such change has been made. It is your responsibility to review these terms and conditions from time to time to be aware of any such change. Your continued use of the service will indicate your agreement to any such change. We reserve the right to add to, remove, change or terminate access to any of the content or functions of the service without giving specific notice to you. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions, you may not use this service. Any use of the service is at the sole risk of the user.
Authentication and authorization for service usage
Plains State Bank incorporates commercially reasonable methods to authenticate the information that you have supplied for making a payment through the Plains State Bank Pay Direct Service. You will not be able to submit a payment until Plains State Bank authenticates you and you will not be allowed to use the Plains State Bank Pay Direct Service (PSB Pay Direct) to pay your loan bill until you have read these Terms and Conditions and have acknowledged you accept them.
By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you authorize Plains State Bank to initiate a charge to the account that you have stored in the PSB Loan Payment Service site according to your payment instructions. Each time you use PSB Pay Direct to pay your Plains State Bank loan account, you will be re-authorizing us to charge the account you select from the PSB Pay Direct Service site.
By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you represent and warrant that:
- You are 18 years old or older;
- You are using your actual identity and any information you provide is accurate and complete;
- You are legally authorized to make payments using the account(s) you have stored in your PSB Pay Direct site;
- Your use of the Service will not violate any local, state, or national laws or regulations.
By providing Plains State Bank with the account information for your PSB Pay Direct Service site, you authorize Plains State Bank to follow the payment instructions we receive from you through the PSB Pay Direct Service site. When you use the PSB Pay Direct Service to send Plains State Bank a payment instruction, you authorize Plains State Bank to initiate a message to your bank to charge the account you indicated from your PSB Pay Direct Service site and to send those funds to Plains State Bank for payment. We currently accept payments as follows; Direct Payments (ACH debits) from checking or savings accounts and debit cards.
Authorization agreement for direct payments (ACH debits)
By using the Direct Payment method, you agree to authorizing Plains State Bank to initiate debit entries for the amount(s) specified, to the checking or savings account(s) you indicate, at the depository financial institution(s) you indicate, and to debit such specified amount(s) to such checking or savings account(s). You agree that the origination of ACH transactions to you checking or saving(s) must comply with the laws of the United States of America. You represent and warrant that you are legally authorized to use the bank account(s) that you have specified on the PSB Pay Direct service.
Authorization agreement for debit card payments
If you choose to use your debit card to pay your loan bill using the PSB Pay Direct service, there will be a debit card transaction fee of $4.00/each.
Disclaimer of warranties
This information is provided “AS IS” without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We specifically disclaim any duty to update the information on the web site. In no event shall we or any other party involved in the creation, production, or delivery of the service be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, or any damages whatsoever resulting from loss of use, computer virus or system failure, data or profits, whether or not advised of the possibility of damages, and on any theory of liability, arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of this service, on any web site related to any third party, or users’ inability to use the information or materials contained in the service web site (or any other web site). In no event shall our liability to users for all damages, losses, and causes of action (whether in contract or tort, including, but not limited to, negligence or otherwise) exceed the amount, if any, paid by users to us for accessing the service. The user should consult his or her own legal advisors regarding the applicability of state statutes regarding limitations on liability. Some states do not allow the disclaimer of warranties or the exclusion of liability for consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in all cases.
Indemnification by user
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold us harmless from any liability, loss, claim and expense, including attorney’s fees related to your violation of these terms and conditions or the use of the service, including technical support, and information provided at this web site.
Disclosure of account information
We may disclose information to third parties about your accounts if:
We have entered into an agreement to have another party provide the payment service or receive your account information. We will provide the third party with information about your stored payment accounts, your service transactions, and your electronic mail messages in order to carry out your instructions;
It is necessary for completing payments;
It is necessary to verify the existence and condition of a billing account or payment account;
In order to comply with laws, government agency rules or orders, court orders, subpoenas or other legal process or in order to give information to any government agency or official having legal authority to request such information; or If you give us your written permission.
The Internet’s growth, popularity and usefulness depend on the secure handling of personal and financial information. The protection of consumers’ sensitive information is critical to Plains State Bank’s success. Thus, in conjunction with our partners, we provide you with a high degree of security by utilizing the latest security techniques and methodologies.
Our PSB Pay Direct service employs the following controls and measures:
- Uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 128 bit encryption for all transmissions of consumer data in order to assure privacy
- Automatically logs out an end user after a certain period of time in order to protect personal information from onlookers.
Network and facility level
Our PSB Pay Direct Service application-processing servers are located within state-of-the-art facilities where we and third parties conduct regular reviews of our methodologies in order to satisfy SSAE 16 and banking requirements. The hardware, networking and facility security measures are described below:
- Redundant firewalls are configured to deny everything unless it is expressly permitted.
- The Data Center utilizes intrusion detection and scanning software from ISS. This software identifies network and system attacks and responds through session termination and firewall reconfiguration.
- Three level card key access is required to gain entrance to systems including a card and palm scan.
- There is around the clock physical monitoring of systems and security incident response team availability 24 hours a day.
- Personnel background checks are conducted for key positions.
When and how should I contact Customer Service with questions?

- Questions about your bill;
- User entry errors on the PSB Pay Direct system (incorrect bank information, amounts, etc.);
- To stop an online payment from processing on the PSB Pay Direct site
What forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept payments from checking and savings accounts and debit cards.
What information do I need to submit a payment?
- Your Plains State Bank Account Number (located in the upper right-hand corner of yyour bill);
- Your email address;
- Your payment option information; and
- Your billing zip code.
Is there a service charge for using PSB Pay Direct system?
Debit card transactions – $4.00/each
What is the cutoff time for posting a payment?
Any payment submitted after 3:00pm Central Standard Time will be processed the next business day. It is important to note payments received after 3:00pm on Friday will not process until Monday (or the next business day).
Am I required to provide my e-mail address?
Yes, your email address is required. Email notifications are sent to confirm payments, alert you of any card processing issue, and to notify you when your card on file is set to expire.
Will you send me a confirmation of my payment?
Yes. An e-mail confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address you provide.
What if I have questions about my payment?

How do I cancel or change a payment I’ve submitted?
Please contact Plains State Bank at 713-559-6800 or by emailing LoanOperations@psbplains.com.
What if my payment is returned for non-sufficient funds (NSF)?
Payments are automatically run through the bank twice, and then reported to Plains State Bank as NSF. You will be notified by a Customer Contact Specialist if you have a payment returned for NSF and additional charges may be assessed.
Can I sign up to have my bill paid automatically through automatic withdrawals at my bank?
Yes. You can enroll to have your account payments automatically withdrawn from your designated account. Payments are processed one day prior to the due date of the bill.
Do I need a User ID and Password?
A User ID and Password are not necessary when making one-time payments.
How secure is my payment and personal information?
We use industry-standard secure server software (Secure Sockets Layer) for all transactions. For your protection, all of your transaction information is encrypted when it travels over the Internet.
